To apply for a place in a course please use the LSF online system.. Your user’s name is your stu-identity number (and its password). To help your first steps in LSF here are some brief instructions..

Cancelling your application: You may cancel your application at any time using the LSF system.

Applications for courses within "Vernetzung mit anderen Fachaspekten" (inter-disciplinary studies) is done through the department of the subject offered.

Applications for these courses are done through the department of the subject offered. Application periods vary; they may even be in the semester break. Please ask at the relevant subject’s department for more information.

Application period for all other courses:

During this period you can apply for courses in the „Fachergänzung” (supplementary studies’ area), using the LSF application system. It is recommended that you acquire 5 ECTS per semester in this area. As places in the courses are allocated randomly, you may elect up to 5 courses of your choice to increase your chance of getting a place.

As of 7.4. at 10:00 you will see in LSF which courses you are enrolled in. Please be sure to cancel your application for any courses you no longer wish to attend.

In this period you can enrol in any course that still has places available. This is done on a “first come, first served” basis.

You can see immediately if you have been awarded a place.

The symbols mean:

zu enrolled
You have been awarded a place for this course and may participate.
Only “zu” shows you have been enrolled in the course.

an applied
You have applied for a course in the LSF system.

ab declined
You have not been awarded a place in the course of your choice.

st cancelled
Your place in the course was cancelled (e.g. by the tutor, if the admission requirements have not been met).

You have earmarked a course. Earmarking works like a bookmark that you can remove at will. Earmarking has no effect on the status of your application
